Star Wars – Clone Wars Gambit: Stealth

Star Wars – Clone Wars Gambit: Stealth

This is the 5th book, to date, of the Clone Wars novels which follow the popular TV Show on Cartoon Network titled Star Wars: The Clone Wars.  I’ve read and reviewed the previous 3 novels, whose stories and timelines were mentioned in this book.  This book ended in a “to be continued” scenario, so I assume it picks up with the next book, Star Wars – Clone Wars Gambit: Siege.

I’ve very much enjoyed all of these Clone Wars books, but so far this was the best one.  This story follows Obi-Wan and Anakin as they head to a remote planet that has been taken over by the Separatists.  I found this story to be  very compelling, it held my attention and moved as a fast pace, even with 395 pages.  It also held true to the continuity of the Star Wars universe story, as much as the Clone Wars TV Show does.

This book is named Stealth because the two Jedi go undercover in civilian clothes on a rogue planet, which the Seps have taken over.  The camaraderie and discussions between Obi-Wan and Anakin were interesting to read and it helps with understanding Anakin’s transformation from Episode 2 to Episode 3 and his turn towards the Dark Side.

I recommend this book, along with all of the other Clone Wars books that follow the TV show.  If you are a Star Wars fan, you will not be disappointed in this read.
